  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Tall glasses
  • Spoon or stir stick
  • Ice cube tray

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh blackberries plus a few extra for garnish
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice about 2–3 lemons
  • 3 –4 tablespoons honey or agave syrup adjust to taste
  • 2 cups cold sparkling water or club soda
  • 1 cup ice cubes for serving
  • Optional: 2–4 lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  • Wash the blackberries and place them in the bottom of a pitcher.
  • Use a muddler or fork to mash the blackberries until they release their juice.
  • Add 1/2 cup lemon juice and 3–4 tablespoons honey (or agave syrup) to the pitcher.
  • Stir well to ensure the sweetener dissolves.
  • Pour in 2 cups of sparkling water or club soda and stir gently to keep the fizz.
  • Fill two tall glasses halfway with ice cubes.
  • Strain the blackberry mixture into the glasses using a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds and pulp.
  • Garnish each glass with extra blackberries and lemon slices if desired.
  • Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.
