  • Cocktail shaker
  • Measuring jigger
  • Tall or highball glass
  • Long spoon or cocktail stirrer
  • Shallow plate
  • Citrus squeezer
  • Ice cube tray

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • 1 oz silver rum
  • 1 oz melon liqueur like Midori
  • 0.5 oz blue curacao
  • 1 oz frozen lemonade concentrate thawed
  • 2 oz pineapple juice
  • 0.5 oz lime juice fresh
  • 2 oz lemon-lime soda or ginger ale
  • maraschino cherries for garnish
  • sanding sugar for rim
  • ice cubes
  • lime wedge for rimming

Instructions

  • Pour sanding sugar onto a shallow plate.
  • Rim glass with lime wedge, dip into sugar.
  • Fill glass with ice cubes.
  • Add vodka, rum, melon liqueur, blue curacao, lemonade concentrate, pineapple juice, and lime juice to shaker with ice.
  • Shake for 15 seconds.
  • Strain into prepared glass over ice.
  • Top with soda or ginger ale, stir gently.
  • Garnish with maraschino cherry.

Notes

Swap soda water for a less sweet version. Adjust blue curacao for shade of green. Make non-alcoholic by replacing alcohol with more lemonade and soda.
