Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup lemon-lime soda e.g., Sprite
  • 1/2 cup tonic water
  • 2 tablespoons grenadine syrup
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice fresh preferred
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup adjust to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon activated charcoal powder optional, for spooky black color
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream for spider web topping
  • Ice cubes
  • Black licorice or gummy spider for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill your tall glass with ice cubes.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine:
  • Lemon-lime soda
  • Tonic water
  • Grenadine
  • Lime juice
  • Simple syrup
  • Activated charcoal (if using)
  • Shake well for 10 seconds.
  • Strain into the prepared glass over ice.
  • Gently pour heavy cream on top so it floats.
  • Use a piping bag or toothpick dipped in cream to draw a spider web pattern.
  • Garnish with a gummy spider or piece of black licorice in the center.
