  • Rocks glass
  • Bar spoon
  • Small plate or shallow dish
  • Knife and cutting board

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila silver or reposado
  • 1 oz orange liqueur Cointreau or triple sec
  • 2 oz cranberry juice unsweetened preferred
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz agave syrup or simple syrup
  • 1 slice fresh jalapeño or more, to taste
  • ice cubes
  • sugared cranberries or lime wedge for garnish
  • chili powder or salt for rimming glass, optional

Instructions

  • Rim your rocks glass with lime juice, then dip in salt, sugar, or chili powder.
  • Add tequila, orange liqueur, cranberry juice, lime juice, agave, and jalapeño slices to a cocktail shaker.
  • Fill with ice and shake for 15–20 seconds until cold.
  • Strain into your prepared glass over fresh ice.
  • Garnish with sugared cranberries or a lime wedge.
  • Adjust sweetness or spice to taste by adding more agave or jalapeño.

Notes

Unsweetened cranberry juice keeps things tart and fresh. For a lighter drink, use less agave. Serve immediately for best flavor and fizz.
