  • Cocktail shaker or mason jar with lid
  • Tall glasses
  • Bar spoon
  • Citrus juicer
  • Peeler or zester

Ingredients

  • 1 cup apple juice or apple cider
  • 0.5 cup cranberry juice
  • 0.5 cup ginger ale or ginger beer
  • 0.5 cup sparkling water or tonic water
  • 4-5 fresh strawberries sliced
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup, honey, or simple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice or lemon juice
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 whole cloves or pinch ground clove
  • 1 slice fresh ginger or 1/4 tsp grated ginger
  • 2-3 mint leaves or basil leaves for garnish
  • 2-3 ice cubes per glass
  • optional: star anise or strip of orange zest

Instructions

  • Add strawberries, apple juice, and cranberry juice to a small saucepan.
  • Add cinnamon stick, cloves, and ginger. Heat gently for about 5 minutes, then let cool.
  • Strain out the spices and fruit pieces.
  • Fill a shaker or jar with ice cubes. Pour in cooled spiced juice, lime juice, and maple syrup.
  • Shake gently until chilled.
  • Top with sparkling water, ginger ale, or ginger beer. Stir gently.
  • Pour into tall glasses. Garnish with mint, basil, or orange zest.

Notes

Swap ginger ale for lemon-lime soda for a sweeter sip, or tonic for more bite. Use apple cider for a richer fall flavor. Adjust spices and sweetness to taste. Garnish with fresh herbs or orange zest for extra flair.
