Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz spiced pear simple syrup
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz pear juice
  • 2-3 oz prosecco or sparkling wine
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 1 cardamom small piece, crushed
  • 1-2 pear slices for garnish
  • ice cubes
  • 1 sage or thyme sprig for garnish
  • simple syrup optional, for extra sweetness

Instructions

  • Add bourbon, spiced pear syrup, fresh lemon juice, and pear juice to a shaker.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake well for 10-15 seconds.
  • Strain the drink into a chilled coupe glass or rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Top with prosecco or sparkling wine, pouring slowly to keep the fizz.
  • Stir gently with a bar spoon to combine.
  • Garnish with a pear slice, cinnamon stick, or a sprig of sage or thyme.
  • Optionally add a pinch of ground baking spices or float extra cinnamon and cloves for more aroma.

Notes

Use fresh pear juice and lemon juice for best results. Make spiced pear syrup with real pears, cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves simmered in water and sugar. Chill your glass before serving. Any dry sparkling wine can replace prosecco. Garnishes like pear slices, sage, or thyme add great aroma.
