  • 1 oz chai syrup or chai simple syrup see notes for homemade
  • 2 oz milk of choice oat, almond, or coconut milk

  • Pour in your milk of choice and vanilla extract.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake for 15–20 seconds until well chilled and slightly frothy.
  • Strain the cocktail into a coupe glass or tumbler using a fine mesh strainer.
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick, star anise, or sprinkle of nutmeg/black pepper/allspice.
  • For a sparkling version, top with ginger ale before serving.

Notes

Bourbon = deeper flavor; gin = brighter spice; vodka = creamy chai latte vibe. For homemade chai syrup, simmer black tea, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, ginger, star anise, nutmeg, and sugar, then strain—keeps a week in the fridge. Oat milk = creamiest, coconut milk = richest, almond = light. Garnish with extra spice for a layered, aromatic finish. Sweet, balanced, cozy, and never heavy.
