Equipment

  • Large punch bowl or pitcher
  • Ladle
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Cups or glasses
  • Long spoon

Ingredients

  • 6 cups apple cider chilled
  • 2 cups ginger ale chilled
  • 1 cup orange juice concentrate thawed
  • 1 cup apple juice optional, for extra flavor
  • 2-3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 medium apple sliced
  • 1 medium orange sliced
  • 3-4 whole cloves optional
  • 1-2 cups sparkling water or sparkling apple cider for extra bubbles
  • ice cubes or ice ring
  • 1 cup dark or spiced rum optional, for boozy punch

Instructions

  • Pour apple cider and apple juice into a large punch bowl.
  • Add orange juice concentrate and stir to blend.
  • Gently pour in ginger ale and lightly stir.
  • Add sparkling water or sparkling apple cider for more bubbles.
  • Add cinnamon sticks, cloves, and sliced apples and oranges.
  • Add ice or ice ring to keep cold.
  • If using, pour in rum and stir well.
  • Ladle into glasses, making sure to include some fruit and spices in each cup. Serve immediately.

Notes

Omit rum for a nonalcoholic punch. Garnish with fresh apple slices, cinnamon sticks, or cranberries for extra color. Best served cold—add ginger ale and bubbles right before serving to keep it fizzy.
