Equipment

  • Large punch bowl
  • Wooden spoon or ladle
  • Measuring cups
  • Small saucepan
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Pitcher (optional)
  • Glasses or mugs

Ingredients

  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 2 cups bourbon
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 0.5 cup lemon juice
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 1 cup club soda or ginger beer
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1-2 apples sliced
  • 1 orange sliced
  • 0.25 cup Cointreau or orange liqueur
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  • Pour apple cider, bourbon, orange juice, and lemon juice into a punch bowl.
  • Add honey and stir until dissolved.
  • Add nutmeg, cinnamon sticks, and Cointreau.
  • Right before serving, stir in ginger beer or club soda for fizz.
  • Add apple slices, orange slices, and cranberries.
  • Stir gently to mix fruits into the punch.
  • Add ice cubes to chill, then ladle into glasses, including fruit and cinnamon sticks in servings.

Notes

Let the fruit and spices sit in the cider-bourbon mixture for 30 minutes before serving for deeper flavor. Use club soda for a less sweet punch or ginger beer for more spice. Swap Cointreau with any orange liqueur. For non-alcoholic, omit bourbon and Cointreau, adding sparkling cider or ginger beer instead.
