Equipment

  • Large pitcher (64 oz capacity)
  • Blender
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Ice cube tray
  • Wine glasses
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 6 cups cubed seedless watermelon
  • 1 bottle 750ml dry white wine (Pinot Grigio works best)
  • 1 bottle 750ml prosecco
  • 1/2 cup triple sec
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries sliced
  • 1 lime thinly sliced
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Place watermelon cubes in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  • Strain the watermelon puree through a fine-mesh strainer into a large pitcher.
  • Add white wine, triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup to the pitcher. Stir well.
  • Add sliced strawberries and lime slices to the mixture.
  • Refrigerate for 2-4 hours to let flavors blend.
  • Just before serving, add the prosecco and stir gently.
  • Fill wine glasses with ice cubes.
  • Pour the sangria mixture into glasses and garnish with mint leaves.

Notes

Store any leftover sangria without ice in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours. The fruits may become softer over time.
Add more simple syrup if you prefer a sweeter drink.
Skip the prosecco for a non-sparkling version. Replace it with ginger ale for a lower-alcohol option.
Make sure all ingredients are well-chilled before mixing for the best taste.
