Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring spoons
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Bar spoon
  • Champagne flute or wine glass
  • Small pitcher (for batching)
  • Ice bucket and tongs
  • Cutting board and knife
  • Paper towels

Ingredients

  • 1 oz vodka or use bourbon for a warmer profile
  • 2 oz apple cider or apple juice
  • 1 oz cranberry juice or pomegranate juice
  • 3 oz Prosecco or sparkling wine/champagne, well-chilled
  • ice cubes
  • fresh cranberries or pomegranate seeds for garnish
  • thin apple or pear slices for garnish
  • pumpkin spice pinch, optional; or cinnamon-sugar rim

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  • Add vodka (or bourbon), apple cider, and cranberry (or pomegranate) juice.
  • Shake gently for ~10 seconds and strain into a chilled flute or wine glass.
  • Top with Prosecco or sparkling wine. Stir once gently to preserve bubbles.
  • Garnish with cranberries and an apple slice. Optional: add a tiny pinch of pumpkin spice or a cinnamon‑sugar rim.
  • Batch tip: Mix everything except the sparkling wine in a pitcher and chill; top each glass with bubbles just before serving.

Notes

Use apple cider for deeper flavor or apple juice for a lighter sip. Keep all components cold so the cocktail stays fizzy. For a mocktail, skip the vodka and use extra juice; replace Prosecco with sparkling water.
