  • Bar spoon
  • Measuring jigger
  • Small knife
  • Strainer
  • Ice cube tray
  • Cutting Board

Ingredients

  • 2 oz añejo or silver tequila
  • 1-2 slices fresh jalapeño plus more for garnish
  • 1 oz lime juice fresh
  • 0.5 oz agave nectar or agave syrup
  • 0.25 oz Grand Marnier optional, for a hint of orange
  • 2 oz pineapple juice optional, for a tropical note
  • 4 oz ginger beer cold
  • sparkling water add to taste for a lighter drink
  • ice cubes
  • fresh lime wedges for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Add jalapeño slices and lime juice to your cocktail shaker and muddle well.
  • Add tequila, agave nectar, and Grand Marnier (if using).
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake for 10–15 seconds.
  • Strain into a chilled copper mug packed with fresh ice.
  • Add pineapple juice if desired for a tropical flavor.
  • Top with ginger beer and a splash of sparkling water if desired.
  • Stir gently and garnish with more jalapeño slices and a lime wedge.

Notes

Use silver tequila for a crisp, clean flavor or añejo for a smoky depth. Adjust the amount of jalapeño for your preferred spice level—remove seeds for less heat. Agave nectar is ideal for sweetness, but honey or simple syrup works too. A copper mug keeps the drink icy cold but isn't required.
