A bold, smoky take on lemonade—bourbon, fresh lemon juice, and a smoked rosemary sprig for aroma and drama. Perfect for summer grilling or any time you want a show-stopping cocktail.
Use a culinary torch or gas burner to carefully light a rosemary sprig until smoking. Place the glass upside down over the sprig to trap smoke, then set aside.
In a shaker, combine bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and ice. Shake well for 10–15 seconds.
Strain into the smoked rocks glass over fresh ice.
Garnish with the smoked rosemary and a lemon wheel.
Notes
Use caution when smoking rosemary. For a sweeter drink, add more syrup. Try grilling the lemon for extra smoky flavor. For a mocktail, use cold-brewed tea in place of bourbon.
