  • Knife and cutting board
  • Measuring cup
  • Stirring stick

  • 1/2 cup strawberry syrup
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice about 4-5 lemons
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar use less for tart lemonade
  • 3 cups cold water
  • 1-2 cups club soda for fizz
  • ice cubes enough to fill each glass
  • fresh mint leaves for muddling and garnish
  • lemon slices for garnish
  • extra fresh strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  • Slice the strawberries and set a few aside for garnishing.
  • Muddle the remaining strawberries and mint leaves in a pitcher until juicy and fragrant.
  • Pour in lemon juice and granulated sugar, mixing until the sugar mostly dissolves.
  • Add strawberry syrup and cold water, stirring well.
  • Strain through a fine mesh strainer for a smoother drink, if desired.
  • Fill tall glasses with ice. Pour strawberry lemonade mixture to fill each glass about two-thirds full.
  • Top each glass with club soda and stir gently to keep the bubbles going.
  • Garnish with strawberry slices, lemon wedges, and a sprig of mint.

Notes

Use fresh lemon juice for the brightest flavor. Adjust sugar or syrup to taste. Rim the glass with red sugar or add a drop of red food coloring for extra spooky fun. Sparkling water works if you don’t have club soda. Serve immediately for best fizz and flavor.
