  • Cutting Board
  • Wine glasses for serving
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 2 bottles dry red wine 750ml each
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup triple sec
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 oranges sliced
  • 2 lemons sliced
  • 2 limes sliced
  • 2 green apples cored and diced
  • 2 peaches sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups club soda optional

Instructions

  • Add sugar to the pitcher and pour in the brandy. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  • Add the sliced fruits to the pitcher. Pour in the wine, triple sec, and orange juice.
  • Stir gently to mix all ingredients.
  • Place the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours.
  • Before serving, taste and add more sugar if needed. Add club soda for extra fizz if desired.
  • Serve in wine glasses filled with ice. Include some of the soaked fruit in each glass.

Notes

Choose a dry Spanish red wine like Rioja or Tempranillo for authentic flavor.
The fruit can be changed based on what's in season. Strawberries, pears, or plums work well.
Sangria gets better with time as the flavors blend together. Make it a day ahead for best results.
Keep the pitcher refrigerated and drink within 48 hours.
For a non-alcoholic version, replace the wine with grape juice and skip the brandy and triple sec.
