This cozy twist on a classic hot toddy blends whiskey, apple cider, honey, caramel, and a pinch of salt for a warm, sweet, and comforting drink with a hint of spice.
Warm the apple cider in a small saucepan over low heat (do not boil).
Stir in the honey and salted caramel sauce until dissolved.
Remove from heat, then add whiskey and lemon juice.
Pour into a heatproof mug.
Add the cinnamon stick and let steep for 1–2 minutes.
Garnish with a lemon slice and a pinch of sea salt if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
Use salted caramel whiskey for a richer caramel flavor, or regular whiskey plus caramel sauce for a smoother drink. Adjust honey and lemon to taste. Never let cider boil—gentle heat keeps flavors fresh.
