Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk or almond milk
  • 0.25 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate
  • 2 tbsp salted caramel sauce plus extra for drizzling
  • 2 oz caramel vodka
  • whipped cream for topping
  • sea salt pinch
  • marshmallows optional
  • sprinkles optional topping

Instructions

  • Pour milk and heavy cream into a saucepan. Warm over medium heat—don’t let it boil.
  • Add dark chocolate and whisk until melted and smooth.
  • Stir in salted caramel sauce.
  • Take off the heat and whisk in caramel vodka.
  • Pour hot chocolate into mugs.
  • Top with whipped cream, drizzle on caramel sauce, and add a pinch of sea salt.
  • Add marshmallows or sprinkles if desired. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

Almond milk works for dairy-free. Swap caramel vodka for caramel liqueur if needed. Add more chocolate for extra richness. Homemade or canned whipped cream both work. Top with extra caramel and flaky sea salt for best flavor. For a lighter drink, use milk and skip cream.
