  • Small spoon
  • Espresso machine or coffee maker
  • Ice cubes

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz vodka caramel vodka optional
  • 1 oz coffee liqueur
  • 1 oz freshly brewed espresso let cool slightly
  • 0.5 oz salted caramel syrup or caramel syrup + pinch of salt
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup optional, to taste
  • caramel sauce for garnish
  • sea salt flakes for garnish
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  • Brew your espresso and let it cool slightly.
  • Add vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso, salted caramel syrup, and simple syrup to the shaker.
  • Add ice and shake hard for 15–20 seconds, until very cold.
  • Strain into a chilled martini glass.
  • Drizzle caramel sauce inside the glass or over the foam and sprinkle with sea salt flakes.

Notes

Use a dark roast espresso for bold flavor. If you don’t have salted caramel syrup, mix caramel syrup with a pinch of sea salt. Garnish with extra caramel for a sweet finish. For a richer drink, try caramel vodka. Shake hard for the best foam.
