  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce plus more for drizzle

  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt plus extra for topping
  • whipped cream optional, for topping
  • ice cubes if making iced

Instructions

  • Pour milk into a small saucepan and heat over medium heat.
  • Add cocoa powder, caramel sauce, and sugar. Whisk until smooth and warm (do not boil).
  • Dip mug rim in caramel sauce, then into sea salt for a sweet-salty finish.
  • Pour cocoa into mug. Top with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and a sprinkle of sea salt if desired.
  • For iced version, chill cocoa, pour over ice, and add toppings.

Notes

Use any milk—oat or almond for dairy-free. Thicker caramel works best for rimming. For extra flavor, add a splash of vanilla or a pinch of cinnamon. Taste and adjust salt/caramel for balance. Serve hot or cold.
