  • Tall glass or mason jar
  • Small bowl (for caramel rim)
  • Spoon
  • Saucepan or microwave (for caramel sauce)
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Stirring stick
  • Ice cube tray

Ingredients

  • 2 cups apple cider chilled
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce plus more for rim
  • 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • apple slice for garnish
  • cinnamon stick for garnish
  • coarse sugar for rim

Instructions

  • Dip glass rims in caramel sauce, then in coarse sugar. Set aside.
  • In each glass, add ice cubes.
  • Pour apple cider over ice.
  • Add caramel sauce, sea salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. Stir well.
  • Garnish with apple slice and cinnamon stick if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Warm the cider for a cozy version. Adjust salt for your perfect balance of sweet and savory. Use coconut caramel for a dairy-free version. For a lighter drink, cut cider with sparkling water.
