rye whiskey

fresh lemon juice

sugar syrup

lemon wheel or twist

Instructions
Fill the shaker with ice and add whiskey, lemon juice, and syrup.
Shake hard for 10–12 seconds.
Strain into a chilled sour glass and garnish with lemon.
Notes
Use a bold rye whiskey for stronger spice. Adjust syrup to taste. Garnish with lemon for aroma and presentation.
