Ingredients

  • 2 oz gin
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz rosemary simple syrup
  • 2-3 slices ripe pear
  • 2-3 oz soda water
  • ice cubes
  • fresh rosemary sprig for garnish

Instructions

  • Add pear slices and a small rosemary sprig to a cocktail shaker and muddle gently.
  • Add gin, lemon juice, and rosemary simple syrup to the shaker.
  • Add ice and shake hard for 10–15 seconds.
  • Strain into a tall glass with fresh ice.
  • Top with soda water and stir gently with a bar spoon.
  • Garnish with a rosemary sprig and optional pear slice.

Notes

Fresh lemon juice is key for brightness. Make rosemary syrup by simmering sugar, water, and rosemary. For extra herbal punch, let the sprig sit in the glass a few minutes before drinking. Try tonic water for a bittersweet twist.
