Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh pink grapefruit juice about 6-8 grapefruits
  • 2 cups rosemary simple syrup recipe below
  • 4 cups sparkling water
  • 2 grapefruits thinly sliced for garnish
  • 6-8 fresh rosemary sprigs
  • Ice cubes

For rosemary simple syrup:

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 fresh rosemary sprigs

Instructions

To make the rosemary simple syrup:

  • Combine water and sugar in a saucepan
  • Add rosemary sprigs
  • Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves
  • Remove from heat and let steep for 30 minutes
  • Strain and cool completely

To make the punch:

  • Juice the grapefruits and strain out pulp
  • Pour juice into punch bowl
  • Add cooled rosemary simple syrup
  • Stir in sparkling water
  • Float grapefruit slices on top
  • Add fresh rosemary sprigs
  • Serve over ice in individual glasses

Notes

The simple syrup can be made up to 1 week ahead and stored in the fridge.
This recipe serves 8-10 people. Double the ingredients for larger gatherings.
For best flavor, use freshly squeezed grapefruit juice rather than bottled juice.
Add extra sparkling water for a lighter drink, or reduce it for stronger grapefruit flavor.
Keep punch cold by making an ice ring with grapefruit slices frozen in water.
