  • Citrus juicer
  • Rocks glass or margarita glass
  • Small plate

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila blanco preferred
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz orange liqueur triple sec or Cointreau
  • 2 oz unsweetened cranberry juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup or more to taste
  • 1-2 sprigs fresh rosemary plus more for garnish
  • ice cubes
  • coarse salt or sugar optional, for rimming

Instructions

  • Lightly muddle a rosemary sprig in the shaker to release aroma.
  • Add tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, cranberry juice, and simple syrup.
  • Add ice and shake for about 15 seconds to chill.
  • Strain into a glass with fresh ice (rim glass with salt or sugar if desired).
  • Garnish with a rosemary sprig and lime wedge.

Notes

Unsweetened cranberry juice keeps it tart. Adjust simple syrup to taste. Muddle rosemary gently for flavor. Add a splash of soda water to lighten, if you prefer. Prep rosemary and lime juice ahead for batch cocktails.
