Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila blanco preferred
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed blood orange juice
  • 0.5 oz Grand Marnier or orange liqueur
  • 0.5 oz blood orange-rosemary syrup
  • 0.25 oz agave syrup optional, to taste
  • ice cubes
  • rosemary sprig for garnish
  • lime wheel for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Add tequila, lime juice, blood orange juice, Grand Marnier, and syrup.
  • Shake hard for about 15 seconds, until frosty.
  • Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Garnish with a rosemary sprig and lime wheel. Serve ice cold.

Notes

Fresh blood orange and lime juice are best. Rosemary syrup gives the cocktail its unique edge. Adjust agave for sweetness, and chill glasses for the best presentation.
