A refreshing, fruit-forward red sangria made with dry red wine, brandy, citrus, berries, and a fizzy splash of club soda. Built in a pitcher and chilled so the flavors meld—perfect for summer gatherings.
1bottle (750 ml)dry red wineTempranillo, Rioja, Merlot, Garnacha, Zinfandel, or Cabernet
0.25cupbrandyor orange liqueur (Cointreau, Triple Sec, or Grand Marnier)
0.25cuporange juice
2tbspsugaradjust to taste

1applecored and thinly sliced
0.5cupstrawberries or raspberries
1smallcinnamon stickoptional
0.5cupclub sodaadd just before serving

Instructions
Wash and thinly slice the orange and apple. Lightly crush the berries.
Add the fruit to a large pitcher and sprinkle the sugar over the top; stir gently.
Pour in the red wine, brandy (or orange liqueur), and orange juice. Add the cinnamon stick if using.
Stir until the sugar dissolves. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let the flavors meld.
Just before serving, add the club soda and stir gently. Serve cold, spooning some fruit into each glass. Strain if you prefer a smoother pour.
Notes
Use a dry red wine like Tempranillo or Garnacha for balance. Chill thoroughly so the fruit infuses the wine, and add bubbles at the last minute to keep it fizzy. For a nonalcoholic version, swap wine for red grape juice and omit the brandy.
