Equipment

  • Large pitcher
  • Wooden spoon
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Measuring cups
  • Ice cube tray
  • Wine glasses

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle 750 ml white wine
  • 2 cups raspberry lemonade
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 lemon sliced
  • 1 lime sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 can 12 oz lemon-lime soda
  • Ice cubes

Pick a crisp white wine like Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc. Use store-bought or homemade raspberry lemonade. Fresh berries taste best, but frozen work too. Regular lemons or Meyer lemons both work well. The sugar balances the tartness. Sprite or 7-Up add fizz.

Instructions

  • Pour wine and lemonade into pitcher. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
  • Wash fruit. Slice lemon and lime into thin rounds.
  • Add lemon, lime, and raspberries to pitcher. Stir gently.
  • Chill in fridge for at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours.
  • Just before serving, add soda and stir.
  • Fill glasses with ice. Pour sangria over ice.
  • Garnish with extra fruit if desired. Serve right away.

Let the sangria chill so flavors can blend. Add the soda at the end to keep it fizzy. Serve over ice to keep it cold.

    Notes

This recipe serves 6-8 people. For a stronger drink, add 1/2 cup vodka. For less alcohol, use more lemonade and less wine. Frozen raspberries work well as ice cubes. Other berries like strawberries or blueberries taste great too. Leftover sangria keeps in the fridge for 2-3 days, but it may lose some fizz.
