  • Bar spoon
  • Citrus juicer
  • Small bowl and whisk

Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon or whiskey
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.75 oz pumpkin spice syrup or pumpkin purée + simple syrup + spices
  • 0.25 oz simple syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 egg white optional, for foam
  • pinch cinnamon or nutmeg
  • ice cubes
  • cinnamon stick, clove, or pumpkin pie spice for garnish

Instructions

  • Add bourbon, lemon juice, pumpkin spice syrup, and simple syrup to a shaker. Add egg white if using.
  • Dry shake (no ice) for 15 seconds to blend egg white. Add ice and shake again until chilled.
  • Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.
  • Garnish with cinnamon stick, clove, or a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.

Notes

Bourbon adds smoothness, rye makes it spicier. Pumpkin spice syrup can be homemade (pumpkin purée, brown sugar, spices). Adjust sweetness to taste. Egg white gives silky foam but is optional. Garnish with a cinnamon stick for aroma and a fall vibe.
