Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Measuring cups
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Small saucepan
  • Disposable jello shot cups
  • Tray or baking sheet
  • Refrigerator
  • Funnel or pitcher (optional)

Ingredients

  • 1 box (3 oz) blue raspberry gelatin mix (or berry blue jello)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 0.5 cup cold water
  • 0.5 cup vodka (or rum, tequila, or coconut rum)
  • gummy bears for garnish

Instructions

  • Boil 1 cup of water in a small saucepan.
  • Pour the gelatin mix into a mixing bowl, then add the boiling water.
  • Whisk for about 2 minutes until the powder is fully dissolved.
  • Stir in 1/2 cup cold water and 1/2 cup vodka (or your chosen alcohol) until combined.
  • Pour into jello shot cups, filling each about three-quarters full.
  • Place cups on a tray and refrigerate 2 to 4 hours until set.
  • Top each shot with a gummy bear just before serving.

Notes

To make stronger shots, reduce the cold water slightly but keep total liquid close to 2 cups so the gelatin sets. For a non-alcoholic version, swap the alcohol for lemonade or fruit soda. For layered colors, let the first layer chill until partially set before adding the next.
