  • 2 oz food-safe plastic syringe
  • Small bowl or ramekin
  • Measuring spoons
  • Ice cubes
  • Fine mesh strainer (optional)

Ingredients

Cocktail Base:

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz sour apple schnapps
  • 1 oz apple juice or apple cider
  • ½ oz lime juice
  • ½ oz simple syrup
  • 1 –2 drops green food coloring optional
  • Edible gold glitter or shimmer dust optional
  • Ice cubes

Syringe "Poison":

  • ½ oz grenadine or pomegranate juice
  • Edible glitter optional

Garnish:

  • Apple slice or gummy worm

Instructions

  • Add vodka, sour apple schnapps, apple juice (or cider), lime juice, simple syrup, and green food coloring (if using) to a cocktail shaker.
  • Add ice and shake for about 15 seconds until chilled.
  • Strain into a chilled martini or stemmed cocktail glass.
  • In a small bowl, mix grenadine or pomegranate juice with edible glitter.
  • Use a syringe to draw up the red “poison” syrup.
  • Rest the syringe on the rim or insert it into the drink.
  • Garnish with an apple slice or gummy worm.

Notes

Chill glasses in advance for a sharper presentation.
For a tart twist, use pomegranate juice instead of grenadine.
Always use food-safe syringes (without needles).
Want to go non-alcoholic? Use lemon-lime soda and apple juice in place of vodka and schnapps.
No glitter? Skip it—this drink is bold enough on its own.
