Serving Size 1 cocktail

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or small measuring cup
  • Hawthorne strainer
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Martini glass (chilled)
  • Small plate (for rim)
  • Spoon or stir stick
  • Ice cubes

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Vanilla vodka
  • 1 oz Pistachio liqueur or pistachio syrup
  • 0.5 oz Irish cream or white chocolate liqueur
  • 1 oz Half and half or heavy cream or almond milk
  • 0.25 oz Amaretto optional; for extra nuttiness
  • Ice cubes for shaking
  • Crushed pistachios or chocolate syrup for rimming glass
  • Whipped cream optional; for garnish

Instructions

  • Chill a martini glass in the freezer for about 5 minutes.
  • Rim the chilled glass: dip the rim in chocolate or simple syrup, then roll in crushed pistachios.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add vanilla vodka, pistachio liqueur (or syrup), Irish cream (or white chocolate liqueur), and half & half (or cream/almond milk).
  • Shake firmly for about 15 seconds until the shaker feels icy cold.
  • Fine strain into the prepared martini glass.
  • Garnish with a swirl of whipped cream or a sprinkle of crushed pistachios. Serve immediately.

Notes

Pistachio liqueur gives the best nutty flavor and light green hue; syrup is a good backup (and works for a zero-proof version). Adjust richness by choosing almond milk for lighter or heavy cream for decadent. Avoid over-shaking to keep texture silky, not watery.
