A tropical, sunset-hued rum punch that layers dark rum, coconut (or spiced) rum, pineapple, orange, lime, and a sink of grenadine. Easy to shake, beautifully layered, and beach-bar refreshing.
Add dark rum, coconut (or spiced) rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and lime juice.
Shake for about 10 seconds until well chilled.
Strain into a hurricane glass packed with fresh ice.
Slowly pour grenadine down the side so it settles at the bottom; add a dash of bitters if using.
Garnish with an orange slice and maraschino cherry. Serve immediately.
Notes
Swap coconut rum for spiced rum for a warmer profile. If too sweet, add a squeeze more lime. Fresh juices and a chilled glass make the drink brighter and crisper.
