Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Pitcher (for batching)
  • Strainer
  • Stemless wine glass or tumbler
  • Bar spoon
  • Ice cubes
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Vodka or gin or coconut rum (Malibu)
  • 4 oz Pink lemonade
  • 0.5 oz Lemon juice fresh
  • 0.5 oz Lime juice fresh
  • 0.5 oz Cranberry juice for color and tartness
  • Grenadine or strawberry syrup splash; to taste
  • splash Club soda or sparkling water or lemon-lime soda; for topping
  • Ice cubes for shaking and serving
  • Lemon wedge, fresh mint, thyme sprig, or edible flower for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  • Add vodka, pink lemonade, fresh lemon juice, fresh lime juice, and cranberry juice.
  • Shake for about 10 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain into a chilled glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Add a splash of club soda (or sparkling water/lemon-lime soda) and a few drops of grenadine or strawberry syrup to taste; stir gently.
  • Garnish with a lemon wedge, mint, thyme, or an edible flower and serve.
  • Pitcher option: multiply ingredients, stir with ice in a pitcher, and let guests top with soda to taste.

Notes

Use fresh lemon juice for a bright, clean flavor. Adjust sweetness with grenadine or syrup; add more soda to lighten. Swap vodka for gin or coconut rum for an easy variation. Keep glassware and ingredients cold for the crispest sip.
