Serving Size 12

Equipment

  • Tall glass (12 to 16 oz)
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Citrus juicer (manual or electric)
  • Bar spoon or long stirring spoon
  • Fine mesh strainer (optional, for pulp)
  • Ice cube tray
  • Muddler (if adding fresh herbs or fruit)
  • Small plate or bowl (for garnishing rims, optional)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pink guava juice store-bought or homemade
  • ½ cup club soda or plain sparkling water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1-2 teaspoons sugar or simple syrup adjust to taste
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves optional, for garnish
  • Pink salt or sugar optional, for rim
  • Lime wedges or slices for garnish

Instructions

  • If I’m going for a rim garnish, I run a lime wedge around the glass and dip the edge into pink salt or sugar.
  • Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  • Pour in 1 cup of pink guava juice.
  • Add 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice.
  • Stir in 1-2 teaspoons sugar or simple syrup until it’s dissolved.
  • Slowly pour in ½ cup club soda—don’t rush it, or you’ll lose the fizz.
  • Give it one gentle stir with your bar spoon.
  • Top with a few mint leaves and a lime wedge for garnish.
  • Serve right away while it’s still bubbly.

Notes

For best flavor, I go for ripe pink guavas if I’m making juice at home. If fresh isn’t an option, I just grab a good-quality, 100% pink guava juice from the store.
Chilling everything before mixing helps keep the ice from melting too fast. I always taste and adjust the sweetness since guava juice can be all over the place, flavor-wise.
Sometimes I add a pinch of salt—it really perks up the flavors if you like a balance of sweet and tart. Mint or basil both work as garnishes, and occasionally I’ll muddle a few leaves for extra aroma.
If I’m making these for a crowd, I mix up a big batch and pour over ice just before serving. That way, it stays fresh and fizzy.
