Pink Dragonfruit Smoothie Mocktail Recipe

Pink Dragonfruit Smoothie Mocktail Recipe
I use fresh pink dragonfruit, a basic blender, and a few staple ingredients to make this bright, tasty mocktail. The whole thing comes together fast and looks pretty great in a glass.

Equipment

  • Blender (needs to be strong enough to crush fruit and ice)
  • Cutting Board
  • Sharp knife
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Citrus juicer or reamer
  • Fine mesh strainer (if you want it extra smooth—totally optional)
  • Glasses for serving
  • Straw and spoon (for mixing or serving, if you feel fancy)

Ingredients

  • 1 fresh pink dragonfruit peeled and diced
  • 1 medium ripe banana sliced
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice cold
  • 1/2 cup coconut water or plain water
  • Juice of 1/2 lime about 1 tbsp
  • 1 teaspoon honey or agave optional, for sweetness
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Extra fruit slices for garnish
  • Pinch of sea salt optional

Instructions

  • Wash and peel the pink dragonfruit, then chop it into cubes.
  • Slice up the banana and set it aside.
  • Throw the dragonfruit, banana, pineapple juice, coconut water, lime juice, honey, and ice into the blender.
  • Blend on high until it’s super smooth and creamy.
  • Taste it—add more honey or lime if it needs it.
  • Want it even smoother? Strain through a mesh strainer (I rarely bother, but it’s up to you).
  • Pour into glasses.
  • Garnish with mint leaves and extra fruit slices.
  • Serve cold, with a straw or even a spoon if you want.

Notes

Dragonfruit can be unpredictable in sweetness, so I always taste before adding honey. If I use frozen banana, it turns the drink thicker and almost dessert-like—which is never a bad thing.
This works with white dragonfruit too, but don’t expect the same pop of color. I’m partial to coconut water for that tropical vibe, but plain water works fine if that’s all I’ve got.
For parties, I’ll double or triple the batch and serve it in clear glasses to show off the color. I skip dairy to keep things light. Serving right after blending makes all the difference for texture.
