Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Citrus juicer
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Rocks or cocktail glass
  • Small plate (for rim)
  • Bar spoon
  • Ice cubes

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Tequila silver/blanco
  • 1 oz Triple sec or Cointreau
  • 2 oz Pineapple juice fresh or canned
  • 1 oz Lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 oz Heavy cream or coconut cream
  • 1 tsp Agave syrup optional; to taste
  • Kosher salt for rimming glass
  • Ice cubes for shaking and serving
  • Pineapple wedge or lime wheel for garnish

Instructions

  • Rim a rocks or cocktail glass with lime and dip in kosher salt; fill the glass with fresh ice.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add tequila, triple sec, pineapple juice, lime juice, and agave syrup (if using).
  • Shake for about 15 seconds until the shaker feels very cold.
  • Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
  • Slowly add the heavy cream (or coconut cream), stirring gently with a bar spoon to swirl and combine.
  • Garnish with a pineapple wedge or lime wheel and serve.

Notes

Use Cointreau for a cleaner orange note. Fresh pineapple juice gives the brightest flavor; canned works in a pinch. For a lighter version, skip the cream and add a splash of soda water. Keep ingredients cold to maintain a crisp balance.
