Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker or large mason jar with lid
  • Jigger or measuring cups/spoons
  • Citrus juicer (optional)
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Tall glasses
  • Ice cube tray
  • Stirring spoon or cocktail stirrer
  • Blender (optional for frozen version)

Ingredients

For 2 servings:

  • 1 cup fresh pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup or honey
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Orange slices and pineapple wedges for garnish
  • Fresh mint leaves optional

Always use fresh juices when possible for the best flavor.

Instructions

  • Prepare the juices: If using fresh fruit, juice the pineapple, oranges, and limes.
  • Mix the base: In your cocktail shaker or mason jar, combine pineapple juice, orange juice, lime juice, and simple syrup or honey.
  • Shake well: Add ice to the shaker and shake for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  • Prepare glasses: Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes.
  • Pour and top: Strain the juice mixture into the glasses, filling them about 2/3 full. Top with sparkling water or club soda.
  • Garnish: Add orange slices, pineapple wedges, and mint leaves if desired.
  • Serve immediately: Give a gentle stir before serving.

For a frozen version, blend all ingredients except sparkling water with ice until smooth, then top with sparkling water.

    Notes

This mocktail can be customized in many ways.
Try adding a dash of coconut cream for a piña colada twist or muddle some berries for added color and flavor.
For a party, prepare the juice mixture in advance and store it in the refrigerator. Add the sparkling water just before serving to maintain the fizz.
The drink pairs well with spicy appetizers or tropical desserts. Children especially enjoy this mocktail when served in fun glasses with colorful straws.
For a lower sugar option, reduce or omit the simple syrup and use naturally sweet fruits.
The mocktail keeps well in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours without the sparkling water.
