Ingredients

For one cocktail, you’ll need:

  • 2 oz tequila
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz pineapple juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 2-3 pineapple chunks
  • 2-3 thin slices of jalapeño
  • Ice
  • Pineapple wedge and jalapeño slice for garnish

Use fresh ingredients for the best taste. Adjust the amount of jalapeño based on how spicy you like your drinks.

Instructions

  • Put the pineapple chunks and jalapeño slices in the shaker.
  • Muddle them gently to release the flavors.
  • Add tequila, lime juice, pineapple juice, and simple syrup.
  • Fill the shaker with ice.
  • Shake well for about 10-15 seconds.
  • Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.
  • Garnish with a pineapple wedge and jalapeño slice.

Taste the drink and adjust the sweetness or spiciness if needed.

    Notes

    This recipe is easy to scale up for larger groups. You can make a big batch in advance, but add the ice just before serving to keep it fresh.
    For a less spicy version, remove the jalapeño seeds before muddling. If you prefer it sweeter, add more simple syrup.
    Try using different types of tequila to change the flavor. A reposado tequila can add a nice oak taste to the drink.
