Instructions
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
Add bourbon, pineapple juice, lemonade or lemon juice, and simple syrup (or honey).
Shake for about 15 seconds until the shaker feels frosty.
Strain into a rocks glass packed with fresh ice.
Garnish with a lemon wheel and pineapple slice; add a sprig of mint if using. Top with a splash of soda water for a lighter style.
Notes
Dial back the simple syrup if using a sweeter bourbon. Freshly squeezed lemon and pineapple give the cleanest flavor. Chill your glass beforehand for an extra-cold serve.
