  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Citrus juicer
  • Strainer
  • Rocks glass or margarita glass
  • Small plate (for rim)
  • Bar spoon
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Tequila silver/blanco preferred
  • 1 oz Cointreau or triple sec
  • 1 oz Lime juice fresh
  • 2 oz Pineapple juice fresh if possible
  • 0.5 oz Coconut cream optional
  • Ice cubes for shaking and serving
  • Salt or cinnamon-sugar for rimming glass
  • Pineapple slice and lime wheel for garnish

Instructions

  • Rim a rocks or margarita glass with lime, then dip in salt or cinnamon-sugar. Fill the glass with fresh ice.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, pineapple juice, and coconut cream (if using).
  • Shake hard for about 15 seconds until very cold.
  • Strain into the prepared glass and garnish with a pineapple slice and lime wheel.

Notes

Use silver tequila for a crisp profile; reposado adds oak and vanilla. For a lighter drink, skip coconut cream or add a splash of soda water. Chill your glass ahead of time to keep the drink frosty longer.
