Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka or peppermint vodka
  • 0.5 oz peppermint schnapps
  • 0.5 oz lime juice fresh
  • 1 oz cranberry juice
  • 4 oz ginger beer or ginger ale
  • Crushed candy canes for rimming and garnish
  • Fresh cranberries optional garnish
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wedge for garnish and rimming

Instructions

  • Smash candy canes on a plate into small pieces.
  • Run lime wedge around the rim of the copper mug.
  • Dip the rim into crushed candy canes to coat.
  • Fill mug with ice cubes.
  • In a shaker, combine vodka, peppermint schnapps, lime juice, and cranberry juice. Shake lightly.
  • Pour mixture into mug.
  • Top with ginger beer and stir gently.
  • Garnish with cranberries and a lime wedge.

Notes

Use peppermint vodka if available. For less sweetness, rim only half the mug. Freeze cranberries for extra chill. Serve immediately for best presentation.
