  • Copper mug (or sturdy glass)
  • Jigger
  • Bar spoon
  • Small plate
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Ice scoop

Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka peppermint vodka if available
  • 0.5 oz peppermint schnapps optional, for more mint flavor
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 4 oz ginger beer
  • ice cubes
  • fresh lime wedge for garnish
  • mint leaves for garnish
  • crushed candy canes for rim or topping (optional)

Instructions

  • Fill mug with ice cubes. Pour in vodka, peppermint schnapps, and fresh lime juice.
  • Top with ginger beer. Stir gently to combine.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge, mint leaves, or a sprinkle of crushed candy cane. Serve immediately, very cold.

Notes

Use peppermint vodka for a stronger mint flavor, or stick to regular vodka and just use schnapps. Always use fresh lime juice. Garnish and serve right away for best fizz and aroma.
