Equipment

  • Citrus juicer
  • Muddler
  • Mixing glass or shaker
  • Fine strainer
  • Long spoon
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • Small cutting board and knife
  • Serving glass
  • Ice cube tray

Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup fresh orange juice
  • 0.25 cup lemon juice
  • 0.25 cup lime juice
  • 0.25 cup grapefruit juice optional
  • 2 tsp honey or agave syrup
  • 6-8 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 drop peppermint extract optional, strong!
  • 0.5 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • 0.25 cup coconut water or pineapple juice optional
  • Ice cubes
  • Thin cucumber slices or edible flowers for garnish

Instructions

  • Muddle mint leaves in mixing glass. Add orange, lemon, lime, and grapefruit juices. Stir in honey or agave until dissolved.
  • Add one drop peppermint extract (if desired), ice cubes, and sparkling water or club soda. Stir gently.
  • Strain into a serving glass with fresh ice. Garnish with cucumber slices, mint, or edible flowers.

Notes

Adjust sweetness to taste. One drop of peppermint extract is enough! Add coconut water for smoothness or pineapple juice for a tropical twist. Mint-flavored sparkling water is also great.
