  • Strainer
  • Bar spoon
  • Highball or wine glass
  • Ice cubes

Ingredients

  • 1 oz pear & ginger syrup see notes
  • 1 oz fresh pear juice
  • 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 3 oz chilled prosecco
  • ice cubes
  • pear slice or candied ginger optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  • Add pear & ginger syrup, pear juice, and lemon juice. Shake for about 10 seconds.
  • Strain into a highball or wine glass packed with fresh ice.
  • Slowly pour in the chilled prosecco.
  • Stir gently with a bar spoon to mix without losing bubbles.
  • Garnish with a pear slice or candied ginger if desired.

Notes

To make pear & ginger syrup: Simmer equal parts sugar and water with fresh ginger slices and chopped pear for 10 minutes, then strain. Add more lemon if pears are very sweet. For a mocktail, swap prosecco for sparkling water.
