Equipment

  • Large punch bowl or serving pitcher (2-gallon capacity)
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Ladle: For serving.
  • Ice bucket
  • Clear punch cups or glasses
  • Cutting board and knife
  • Blender (optional for fresh peaches)
  • Wooden spoon or large mixing spoon

Ingredients

  • 4 cups peach nectar chilled
  • 4 cups orange juice pulp-free works best
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 1 liter ginger ale or sparkling water
  • 2 oranges thinly sliced
  • 2 peaches sliced (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries optional
  • Ice cubes
  • Mint leaves for garnish

The base of this punch comes from the fruit juices. Peach nectar provides sweetness while orange juice adds tang.

Instructions

  • Chill all liquid ingredients for at least 2 hours before mixing.
  • Wash and slice the oranges and peaches into thin pieces.
  • In your punch bowl, combine the peach nectar, orange juice, and pineapple juice. Stir gently to mix.
  • Just before serving, add the ginger ale or sparkling water. Pour slowly to keep the fizz.
  • Add the sliced fruit and raspberries to the punch. They will float on top and look pretty.
  • Place ice in the bowl or in individual glasses when serving.
  • Garnish with mint leaves if desired.

This punch tastes best when made right before your event. The fizzy element will go flat if it sits too long.

    Notes

This recipe makes about 12 cups of punch, enough for 8-10 people. You can easily double or halve the recipe based on your needs.
For an adult version, add 1 cup of vodka or white rum to the mixture. Keep a separate non-alcoholic batch for kids and non-drinkers.
The punch will keep in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, but the carbonation will decrease over time. Add the ginger ale and fruit just before serving for best results.
For a slushier version, freeze the peach nectar in ice cube trays and blend with the other ingredients just before serving.
