Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Mixing spoon
  • Jigger
  • Strainer
  • Tall glass or mason jar
  • Small saucepan (for optional peach syrup)
  • Ice cube tray

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Peach whiskey or regular whiskey
  • 4 oz Black tea freshly brewed and cooled
  • 1 oz Peach syrup or peach nectar
  • 0.5 oz Lemon juice fresh
  • Ice cubes for shaking and serving
  • Mint leaves or peach slice optional; for garnish
  • Simple syrup optional; to taste if you prefer it sweeter

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  • Add peach whiskey (or regular whiskey), cooled black tea, peach syrup (or peach nectar), and lemon juice.
  • Shake for about 10 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain into a tall glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Garnish with a peach slice or mint. Taste and add a splash of simple syrup if you prefer it sweeter; stir gently.

Notes

Use strong tea so the flavor stands up to dilution from ice. Let the tea fully cool before shaking to prevent excess dilution. To make fresh peach syrup, simmer equal parts sugar and water with sliced peaches until fragrant; strain and chill.
