Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Citrus Juicer: For fresh lime juice.
  • Cocktail glass (preferably a salt-rimmed margarita glass)
  • Cutting board and knife
  • Blender (if making frozen version)

Ingredients

For two peach margaritas:

  • Silver tequila 3 oz 90ml
  • Triple sec or orange liqueur 1.5 oz 45ml
  • Fresh lime juice 1.5 oz 45ml
  • Peach puree or nectar 3 oz 90ml
  • Agave syrup or simple syrup 0.5 oz 15ml
  • Fresh peach slices 1 peach sliced
  • Ice cubes 2 cups
  • Coarse salt For rimming glasses
  • Lime wedges For garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the glasses: Run a lime wedge around each glass rim, dip in coarse salt, and fill with ice. Set aside.
  • Make peach puree (if using fresh peaches): Peel and pit 1-2 ripe peaches. Blend until smooth. Strain if you want it extra silky.
  • Combine ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, toss in ice, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, peach puree, and agave syrup.
  • Shake well: Shake hard for 15-20 seconds. You’ll know it’s ready when the shaker feels frosty.
  • Strain and serve: Pour the mix into your prepared glasses. Top with peach slices and a lime wedge.
  • Want it frozen? Just blend everything with 2 cups of ice instead of shaking. Pour and enjoy that slushy goodness.

Notes

Leftover peach puree? Pop it in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze it in cubes for your next round.
For a booze-free version, swap tequila and triple sec for more peach nectar and maybe a splash of orange juice.
Peach sweetness can be all over the place, so taste and add more agave syrup if you feel like it’s missing something.
Feeling adventurous? Drop in a thin jalapeño slice when you shake (just fish it out before pouring).
