Equipment

  • A large punch bowl
  • A long-handled spoon for stirring
  • Ice bucket
  • Champagne flutes or punch cups
  • A sharp knife
  • Cutting Board

Ingredients

For about 12 servings, gather:

  • 2 bottles 750 ml each of chilled champagne or sparkling wine
  • 2 cups peach nectar or juice
  • 1/4 cup peach schnapps
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup
  • 2 fresh peaches sliced
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • Ice cubes

Use ripe peaches for the best flavor. Frozen fruit can work too if fresh isn't available.

Instructions

Chill all ingredients before starting.

  • Slice the peaches thinly.
  • In the punch bowl, mix peach nectar, schnapps, and simple syrup.
  • Add the champagne slowly to keep the fizz.
  • Stir gently with the long spoon.
  • Float peach slices and raspberries on top.
  • Add ice just before serving to keep the drink cold without watering it down.

Serve right away in chilled glasses. The punch tastes best when fresh.

    Notes

This recipe is easy to adjust. For a stronger drink, add more schnapps. For less alcohol, use more peach nectar.
You can make it ahead of time. Mix everything except the champagne and fruit. Add those just before serving.
For a non-alcoholic version, replace the champagne with ginger ale or sparkling cider.
Be careful not to overmix. Too much stirring will make the champagne go flat.
