Ingredients

  • 2 ripe peaches sliced
  • 4 oz bourbon
  • 16 oz unsweetened black tea chilled
  • 2 oz simple syrup
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Ice cubes
  • Peach slices for garnish

Instructions

  • Muddle peach slices in a cocktail shaker until they release their juices.
  • Add bourbon and simple syrup to the shaker.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake for 15-20 seconds.
  • Strain the mixture into a pitcher through a fine mesh strainer.
  • Pour in the chilled black tea and stir gently to combine.
  • Fill Collins glasses with ice cubes.
  • Pour the mixture into glasses and garnish with fresh peach slices and mint leaves.

Notes

The drink can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
Using ripe peaches gives the best flavor. If peaches aren't in season, frozen peaches work well too.
Choose a mid-range bourbon that's good for mixing.
Expensive bourbon isn't needed since the peach and tea flavors will blend with it.
The simple syrup can be adjusted based on personal taste and the sweetness of the peaches.
