  • Citrus juicer

Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice or grapefruit soda for a sweeter drink
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup adjust to taste
  • 2.5 oz sparkling water
  • salt for the rim
  • ice cubes
  • grapefruit wedge or lime wedge/slice, for garnish

Instructions

  • Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass, then dip it in salt.
  • Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  • Combine tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and simple syrup in a shaker.
  • Shake lightly to mix and chill.
  • Strain into your prepared glass.
  • Top with sparkling water and stir gently.
  • Garnish with a grapefruit wedge or slice.

Notes

Use blanco tequila for a crisp base. Swap in grapefruit soda for more sweetness. Coarse sea salt or kosher salt is best for the rim. Adjust sparkling water and syrup to taste. Always use fresh juice for the brightest flavor.
